Signal Flow - Controller
PAVIRO - Introduction Signal Flow - Controller We will now take a closer look at each component. Starting with the controller where we can see the following external audio inputs: Call stations inputs Microphone / Line - 2 inputs Auxiliary inputs Controller call stations Mic /Line Aux Security Systems ST-CO/MKA1.22 | 06/07/2015 | © Robert Bosch GmbH All rights reserved, also regarding any disposal, exploitation, reproduction, editing, distribution, as well as in the event of applications for industrial property rights.

Signal Flow - Controller
PAVIRO - Introduction Signal Flow - Controller The controller has an internal 2 channel message manager plus 2 Alarm- and 2 chime generators. The digital signal processing (DSP) matrix will distribute all audio signals to 4 balanced analog audio channel outputs at line level. These audio channels are used as audio input for the amplifiers. Signal Flow - Amplifier
PAVIRO - Introduction Signal Flow - Amplifier Inside the amplifier the 4 audio channels from the controller are distributed by 4-in-1 routers. Each amplifier has 2 local inputs which can be used instead of audio input 4. There are 2 class D amplifiers of 500W in each unit. The output of the amplifiers are either 70V or 100V. The 70V and 100V signals are used as input signal for router clusters. PAVIRO - Introduction Signal Flow - Controller Each controller and router has per router cluster of 6 zones, 2 amplifier inputs and 1 spare amplifier input. In this schematic we connect the 2 outputs of 1 amplifier to amplifier input A (1 and 2) of the controller. The internal 2-in-6 router cluster will distribute the 2 amplifier input signals to 6 loudspeaker outputs. 2-in-6 router Internal Router A1 1 Zone 1 70V / 100V 2 Zone 2 A2 3 Zone 3 70V / 100V 4 Zone 4 Spare 5 Zone 5 6 Zone 6 Controller Security Systems ST-CO/MKA1.22 | 06/07/2015 | © Robert Bosch GmbH All rights reserved, also regarding any disposal, exploitation, reproduction, editing, distribution, as well as in the event of applications for industrial property rights.

Signal Flow 1-in-N Topology – 6 Zones
PAVIRO - Introduction Signal Flow 1-in-N Topology – 6 Zones The internal 2-in-6 router cluster of the controller distributes the amplifier input signal A1 to 6 loudspeaker outputs with a maximum loudspeaker load of 500 Watt in total. This is what we call a 1-in-N topology. Note: when a call is made to one zone there will be no audio in the other zones. This means that when e.g. music was playing it will be lost. Signal Flow 1-in-N Topology – 12 Zones
PAVIRO - Introduction Signal Flow 1-in-N Topology – 12 Zones The controller has 2 internal 2-in-6 router clusters (A and B) each with 6 loudspeaker outputs. By connecting the amplifier also to amplifier input B of the controller the total amount of loudspeaker outputs will be 12 with a maximum loudspeaker load of 1000 Watt in total. Signal Flow Call / Program Topology – 6 Zones
PAVIRO - Introduction Signal Flow Call / Program Topology – 6 Zones By connecting an amplifier to both amplifier inputs of one 2-in-N router cluster a Call / Program topology can be created. In this example we connect the amplifier outputs to amplifier input A1 and A2 of the controller. The total amount of loudspeaker outputs will be 6 with a maximum loudspeaker load of 500 Watt in total. Signal Flow Call / Program Topology – 6 Zones
PAVIRO - Introduction Signal Flow Call / Program Topology – 6 Zones In a Call / Program topology it is possible to make a call to one zone while audio is still present in the other zones. This means that when e.g. music was playing it will not be lost. More system topologies are explained in the PAVIRO L2 web based training.
