3 STUDENT & VISITOR USE OF CELL PHONES
Cell phones and electronics are not to be on, used, or displayed during the school day.

4 STUDENT & VISITOR USE OF CELL PHONES
If a student has a cell phone out, the teacher will remind the student to put it away. If the student does not comply, the phone will be taken and given to an administrator. You may insert here that you will make the adult decision of holding phone in your room until the end of the period and give it back at the end of class. If this is an everyday occurrence you may choose to make an arrangement to just hand it over in the beginning as to not disrupt class. OR warn them next time it goes to the office.

Again, all devices must be off during the school day. Students may use their devices during the lunch hour. not in the school policy but allowed at hoyt, the use of devices permitted while waiting for school to begin In grade level designated areas – lunchroom and gymnasium – (not hallways)

FOR parents In the event of an emergency, the above electronic devices could cause a major security problem. In the event of a power outage or natural disaster, stay tuned to the local news media

Explain to the students that at this time phones should be off because in case of severe danger it could give away people location.

If parents have any emergency and or need to contact you, Parents are to call the Hoyt The office will immediately notify the student

REMENBER - Before school means before being dismissed from beginning of school areas – Gym and Lunchroom
