1 What season are we living in?
The Year Of God’s Favor What season are we living in?

2 The Favorable Year Isaiah 61:1-2 (NASB77) 1  The Spirit of the Lord GOD is upon me, Because the LORD has anointed me To bring good news to the afflicted; He has sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, To proclaim liberty to captives, And freedom to prisoners; 2  To proclaim the favorable year of the LORD, And the day of vengeance of our God; To comfort all who mourn,

3 Take Back Your Inheritance
Isaiah 61:3-4 (NASB77) 3  To grant those who mourn in Zion, Giving them a garland instead of ashes, The oil of gladness instead of mourning, The mantle of praise instead of a spirit of fainting. So they will be called oaks of righteousness, The planting of the LORD, that He may be glorified. 4  Then they will rebuild the ancient ruins, They will raise up the former devastations, And they will repair the ruined cities, The desolations of many generations.

4 The Double Portion Isaiah 61:5-7 (NASB77) 5  And strangers will stand and pasture your flocks, And foreigners will be your farmers and your vinedressers. 6  But you will be called the priests of the LORD; You will be spoken of as ministers of our God. You will eat the wealth of nations, And in their riches you will boast. 7  Instead of your shame you will have a double portion, And instead of humiliation they will shout for joy over their portion. Therefore they will possess a double portion in their land, Everlasting joy will be theirs.

5 Release To Those Afflicted
Luke 4:16-21 (NASB77) 16  And He came to Nazareth, where He had been brought up; and as was His custom, He entered the synagogue on the Sabbath, and stood up to read. 17  And the book of the prophet Isaiah was handed to Him. And He opened the book, and found the place where it was written, 18  " THE SPIRIT OF THE LORD IS UPON ME, BECAUSE HE ANOINTED ME TO PREACH THE GOSPEL TO THE POOR. HE HAS SENT ME TO PROCLAIM RELEASE TO THE CAPTIVES, AND RECOVERY OF SIGHT TO THE BLIND, TO SET FREE THOSE WHO ARE DOWNTRODDEN,

6 This Is Fulfilled In Your Hearing
Luke 4:19-21 (NASB77) 19   TO PROCLAIM THE FAVORABLE YEAR OF THE LORD." 20  And He closed the book, and gave it back to the attendant, and sat down; and the eyes of all in the synagogue were fixed upon Him. 21  And He began to say to them, "Today this Scripture has been fulfilled in your hearing."

7 The Year Of Jubilee Leviticus 25:9-10 (NASB77) 9  'You shall then sound a ram's horn abroad on the tenth day of the seventh month; on the day of atonement you shall sound a horn all through your land. 10  'You shall thus consecrate the fiftieth year and proclaim a release through the land to all its inhabitants. It shall be a jubilee for you, and each of you shall return to his own property, and each of you shall return to his family.

8 In A Favorable Time Isaiah 49:8 (NASB77) 8  Thus says the LORD, "In a favorable time I have answered You, And in a day of salvation I have helped You; And I will keep You and give You for a covenant of the people, To restore the land, to make them inherit the desolate heritages;

9 Releasing Captives Of Failure And Fear
Isaiah 49:9-10 (NASB77) 9  Saying to those who are bound, 'Go forth,' To those who are in darkness, 'Show yourselves.' Along the roads they will feed, And their pasture will be on all bare heights. 10  "They will not hunger or thirst, Neither will the scorching heat or sun strike them down; For He who has compassion on them will lead them, And will guide them to springs of water.

10 When Is The Day Of Salvation?
2 Corinthians 6:1-2 (NASB77) 1  And working together with Him, we also urge you not to receive the grace of God in vain-- 2  for He says, " AT THE ACCEPTABLE TIME I LISTENED TO YOU, AND ON THE DAY OF SALVATION I HELPED YOU"; behold, now is "THE ACCEPTABLE TIME," behold, now is "THE DAY OF SALVATION"—

11 What Time? What Person? 1 Peter 1:10-12 (NASB77) 10   As to this salvation, the prophets who prophesied of the grace that would come to you made careful search and inquiry, 11   seeking to know what person or time the Spirit of Christ within them was indicating as He predicted the sufferings of Christ and the glories to follow. 12  It was revealed to them that they were not serving themselves, but you, in these things which now have been announced to you through those who preached the gospel to you by the Holy Spirit sent from heaven-- things into which angels long to look.

12 The Fullness Of Time Came
Galatians 4:4-5 (NASB77) 4  But when the fullness of the time came, God sent forth His Son, born of a woman, born under the Law, 5  in order that He might redeem those who were under the Law, that we might receive the adoption as sons.
