11 Testing Section overview
Pro-tip: The first question you see asks if you wish to self-report scores. Remember this: we’ll come back to it in a moment. The Testing section is where you’ll enter your self-reported scores for any of the following standardized tests: ACT, SAT/SAT Subject, AP, IB, TOEFL, PTE Academic, and IELTS. While you can self-report your scores in the Common App, you must also send official score reports from the testing agency, for example ACT and the College Board for SATs. © 2015 The Common Application

12 ACT, SAT,/SAT Subject, AP, IB, TOEFL, PTE Academic and IELTS.
Testing Section overview Pro-tip: The Testing section allows applicants to add scores from the following exams: ACT, SAT,/SAT Subject, AP, IB, TOEFL, PTE Academic and IELTS. From a drop down box, applicants can select each type of exam that they wish to self report. © 2015 The Common Application

13 Exams selected at the top open sub-sections below
Tests Taken Pro-tip: Print out your scores or access them online for ease of entering into your Common App. Exams selected at the top open sub-sections below As each kind of exam is added to the applicant’s Common Application, a section will appear at the bottom of the screen for entry. Once you indicate that you would like to self-report your scores, you’ll be prompted to enter the test type. Doing so will then provide you an area in which to share the detailed information for that test. You can select more test options by clicking inside the box over and over until you have entered all of the tests you wish to report.  If you would like to remove a test that you’ve already selected, just click the "x" within the name of the test to remove a selection from the box. © 2015 The Common Application

14 Make sure to list tests you plan to take in the future.
Adding scores Make sure to list tests you plan to take in the future. Pro-tip: Report your highest subscores, even if they are from different test dates. Each exam section allows for you to self-report the highest sub-score and the date that the exam was taken. © 2015 The Common Application

15 Pro-tip: Leaving exams do not generally apply to US applicants.
Some International Applicants are required to take Senior Secondary Leaving Examinations as a requirement for graduation. Applicants can add actual or predicted scores. © 2015 The Common Application

16 This feature lets you control the scores you send to each college.
Test-optional trick Pro-tip: Remember this question? Change your answer to “no,” and your tests and scores disappear. Change it back to “yes,” and they reappear. Testing information you input and save is never deleted. It’s just hidden. This feature lets you control the scores you send to each college. Test-Optional Trick If you are applying to a test-optional college or university and you do not want to self-report scores, you can go back to the original question regarding whether or not you want to self-report scores. By clicking “No”, your tests and scores will disappear. Change it back to “Yes” and they reappear. The testing information you input and save is never deleted, it is just hidden giving you control over the scores that are sent to each college. © 2015 The Common Application
