2. William Shakespeare was born in Stratford- upon- Avon in Warwickshire and was baptised a few days later on the 26 April 1564.

3. On November 28 1582 Shakespeare married the daughter of a local farmer called Anne Hathaway.

5. Shakespeare’s plays were unrecognised at first due to not many people knowing who he was.

6. Shakespeare spent his final five years of his life in a new house he had brought after his success, ‘New Place’. In Stratford.
