7. Global Skills Award Programme
The GSA programme is designed to enhance global awareness and employability
From October 2018 – May 2019
All Master’s degree students are invited to enrol onto the programme, alongside their Master’s
All postgraduates enrolled complete an on-line personal development assessment.
Students attend a lecture series on national and global issues and a selection of workshops
All those who complete invited to a reward ceremony and receive a GSA Programme Certificate.

8. How do I obtain the award?
Enrol onto the GSA from 19th September 2018.
Attend the Introduction Evening in Woolf Lecture Theatre
Complete the initial personal development assessment via the online booking system:
Attend a minimum of 3 lectures from the lectures
Participate in a minimum of 3 workshops from the workshop programme
Complete a final GSA evaluation via the online system at the end of the programme

19. Postgraduate Space Senior Common Room - Room R2-04, Rochester Building
This shared communal space (for both staff and students) is available for use by postgraduates for socialising, group work or private study.
Drill Hall Library - silent, quiet and group study spaces, café and refreshment area for relaxed study, and techno booths for informal group working with high-tech equipment. For more information, visit the Drill Hall Library webpage.

25. Working During Your Studies
There are various opportunities to undertake paid and unpaid work during your studies. Benefits include:

Tier 4 Visa Students
All Tier 4 postgraduate students may work up to 20 hours per week until the end of their course. In addition:
Taught Master’s degree students may work full-time over Christmas and Easter vacations

Pop down to Canterbury and see the sights as well as the ‘other’ Campus
Buy a railcard and go to London – some of the world’s best museums and galleries are on your doorstep and they are free!
Book well in advance and travel to Brussels and Paris on the Eurostar
