6 Locating Fingerprints

7 Visible Prints Visible prints are usually very easy to find because they are distinct and can be viewed with the naked eye.

8 Latent Prints Latent prints can be located using a device called the Reflected Ultraviolet Imaging System (RUVIS) Shines ultraviolet light on a surface and when it hits the oil and sweat of a print, it will be reflected back to the device where it will be converted into visible light making it obvious to the naked eye. Once found, it’s time to be developed!
