2 Hormones Humans can send information through nerve impulses,
Or through chemical messages called Hormones.

3 Hormones Hormones are a chemical substance produced by a gland, carried by the blood, that alters the activity of one or more specific target organs and is then destroyed by the liver

4 Hormones Hormones are made in special glands called endocrine glands.

5 Adrenaline Adrenaline is designed to help you cope with danger (fight or flight response). Also called epinephrine it increases heart rate, pulse rate, and blood pressure, Also raises the blood levels of glucose and lipids

6 So what systems are affected and how?
Name the systems of your body that would be affected by the production of adrenaline. Talk to your neighbor and be ready to share out. 1 minute What did you come up with?
