2 Stock Portfolio Video Project The Scenario - Each group will be a stock brokerage company (licensed to buy and sell stocks). - Each group has been hired by a private client to invest $100,000 in the stock market. The client request that your group research the stocks and create a diversified portfolio (various sectors in the stock market). The client request that your group create a video to “report-out” on the recommended companies your group will select for the portfolio.

3 Requirements A. Each group will have four (4) students
Requirements A. Each group will have four (4) students. Each student will be responsible for managing 25% of the portfolio ($25,000 of $100,000). B. Concept Web – Each group will create a concept web to show which stocks will be used for the portfolio. C. Each student will select eight (8) stocks from the U.S. stock market. The stocks must have dividends (stocks that pay share holders per share). D. Each person must fill-out “Stock Purchase” worksheet. E. Each student will write eight (8) individual reports. Use the “Stock Information” worksheet. F. Each student will select their top three out of their eight stocks to report-out on the video.

4 Video Presentation 1. Each group will create a video group presentation (use YouTube). 2. Each student in the group will report-out on their “Top 3 Stocks.” 3. The video must be four (4) to eight (8) minutes. It must have the following: Video - clear and focus Audio - loud and clear. 4. Be professional during the presentation (dress and speak professionally) for a good grade.

Each group will create a “YouTube” video. Follow the instructions from the “Create a YouTube video”. The video can be deleted after the instructor grades the project. Do not delete the project until the grade is entered in Powerschool or no credit!

Report-Out on each company by using the “Stock Information” worksheet. Here are the following questions: 1. What is the name of the company? 2. How much dividend (per share/per year) does the company pay? 3. What is the P/E (Price/Earnings)? 4. What is the 52 week high/low price? 5. What is the 1 year earnings projected for the company by Wall Street analyst? 6. What are the Wall Street analysts saying about the future earnings for the stock? Use the example from the script to report out on your four stocks.

Show the 52 week graph to illustrate your report.   The 1 year earnings projected __________ (financial analyst name/company). What are the Wall Street analysts saying about the future earnings for the stock?   7. The 3-5 year forecast by(full name of the stock analyst)_ indicate the company profits are going up based strong sales. If the projected profits are going down, explain the reason given by the stock analyst in your report.

Must include the amount with the allocated cost and percentages (Example: Tech stock $15,000 in cost, 15%) 3. Concept Web 4. Stock Information Sheet of all 8 of their stocks. 5. Stock Purchase Sheet of all 8 of their stocks.
