Leadership & Governance
What went well Even Better If…. Peer Reviewers trained 4 Peer Reviews completed “Career progression audit” – led to introduction of PST role STAR Governance reviewed and changes agreed Governor engagement high – allowing informed debate about MAT Consistency in report writing Shared understanding across TSA about all schools to facilitate targeted and meaningful action

ITT What went well Even Better If….
2 trainees both completed with overall “outstanding” rating from Hull Uni. Both now employed within STAR, and highly complimentary about us Hull Uni commended us on quality of mentoring and record keeping and also recognised our recruitment processes as very robust 10/10 trainees recruited and placed for 2017/18 Keep them warm process meant new cohort working together before the course started. Induction training developed & delivered for trainees & mentors Full programmed for 2017/18 developed at Easter 2017 ensuring clarity and confidence going into second year Trainee handbook developed Didn’t lose 1 due to change in family circumstances. Securing placements wasn’t so difficult (needed to go outside of the Alliance). Burden of recruitment largely fell on one small school

SLE & PST recruitment info sessions developed & delivered Core Training developed & delivered Webpages developed Target areas where gaps exist Second SLE session not cancelled due to lack of interest Enhance PST page to cover areas available

School to School Support
What went well Even Better If…. Clear contracting process established Central record point established 8 support contracts established Feedback and impact has been recognised. Charges cover T&S Improve timing and detail of ROV submission to allow more timely invoicing/re-imbursement Quality assurance & impact assessment enhanced Greater capacity to spread the load across more people

CPD What went well Even Better If….
Networks established and successful: Maths, English, MFL, Sciences, SEND, Admin, TA, NQT Full governor training programme run and generally well attended MLDP ran and broke even T&L conference delegates & TA 60 delegates very well received CPD programme for following year created and published in July including 3 new programmes (NQT/QT/HLTA) Developed tracking & feedback processes English network present at T&L conference More consistent attendance at NQT network Finance Training not cancelled due to lack of interest Facilitators didn’t have to take a reduced rate Combined event More comfortable chairs! Better secondary offer? Costings based on more realistic take-up numbers
