3. WHAT IS TURNITIN?

The service offers a complete web-based service to manage the process of submitting and tracking papers electronically, providing better—and faster—feedback to students.

4. REMINDER!
If the student has used Turnitin previously and has an existing user profile, continue down to the "Logging In" section.
Warning: A class ID and enrollment password are required to enroll in a class on Turnitin. This information may only be provided by the instructor of the class. If you do not have this information contact the class instructor.

5. Go to www.turnitin.com and click on the "Create account"

6. Click on the "student" link

8. Review the user agreement
Review the user agreement. To continue using Turnitin, click on "I agree -- create profile"

9. Turnitin currently accepts the following file types for upload into an assignment:
Microsoft Word™ (DOC and DOCX)
Corel WordPerfect®
Plain text (TXT)
Adobe PostScript®
HTML
Rich Text Format (RTF)
Portable Document Format (PDF)

10. Start by clicking on the class name you would like to submit to.

11. Click on the "Submit" button to the right of the assignment name

12. Select the file you want upload
You may choose "single file upload" or "cut & paste upload" from the "choose a paper submission method"
Select the file you want upload

13. “Cut and paste” your paper to the designated area
Click “upload" to complete the “cut and paste” submission

17. After finish all the submission, click “Go to assignment inbox”

18. Click here to view the details of the similarity

21. Click here to download the report

22. Select ‘Current View’ to download the report
