2 We are doing an experiment with
BRAINSTORM We are doing an experiment with What materials or conditions can be changed? What can you measure as a result? What tools and unit of measurement can you use?

4 Write your testable question here

5 Write your hypothesis here

6 Procedure List all of the steps used in completing your experiment.
Remember to number your steps. Add photos of your experiments if possible.

9 Conclusion Type a brief summary here of what you discovered based on the results of your experiments. You need to indicate whether or not the data supports the hypothesis and explain why or why not.

11 Which type of paper can hold the most quarters?
By: Millie

12 Dependent Variable How many quarters an unfolded napkin, a tissue, and toilet paper can hold.

13 Independent Variable The type of paper I am using.

14 Constant Conditions The person holding the paper
The way you hold the paper The day you do it Holding the toilet paper with the lines going up and down through out the whole experiment.

15 Hypothesis If I test to see if an unfolded napkin, tissue, or toilet paper will hold the most quarters then tissue will hold the most.

16 Procedure Gather your materials such as, napkins, a lot of quarters, tissue, and toilet paper. Have the person holding the paper get ready by holding it in their hand. Begin placing quarters on the napkin. If you run out of quarters use something that equals a certain amount of quarters. When the paper breaks record how many quarters were place on the paper. Repeat this procedure 2 more times. Do it with the other 2 papers also.

19 Conclusion For my experiment I tested to see which type of paper could hold the most quarters. My hypothesis was that the tissue will hold the most. My hypothesis was correct because the tissue held an average of 43 quarters while the toilet paper held an average of 42 and the unfolded napkin had an average of 26. During my experiment I noticed that when holding the toilet paper the lines go in a certain direction. When doing this experiment hold the toilet paper so that the lines are going up and down. If I were to further this experiment I would test to see how many quarters different brands of tissue can hold.
