Benefits For Bosch Pool of local qualified candidates for technicians
Curriculum has been proven to meet Bosch’s needs (IET and Mechatronics) Great community relations by employing local students with limited experience Great recruiting for free at the College. Flyers, Information Sessions supported by TCTC Staff How important to industry is having a pool of qualified candidates to select from? IET students work well in the printed circuit board departments while Mechatronic students work well in all the rest. By hiring TCTC students without having any real technical experience helps Bosch’s relationships in the community. FREE recruiting services at TCTC!

The let us know when they plan to hire a large group or if their headcount is staying flat or declining. Bosch HR Director and Manager has lunch with Dr. Booth and Grayson Kelly (Director of the Foundation at TCTC) which touches different aspects of TCTC—such as Fund raising, Advisory Board members, and Equipment donations. Alan Johnson—BTS Manager, is an adjunct for TCTC. We also have used several other Bosch associates as adjuncts. (Mike Woodall, Danny Grady and Shayne Gibson)

Challenges For Bosch For TCTC
Staying competitive for the pool of candidates ROI—Return On Investment for BTS For TCTC Keeping up with the ever changing world of technology Switching students from Day to Night classes Since Bosch waits until the final semester to select the students, some of the high performing students have already been selected for another company—such as Michelin or BMW. Justifying the cost of the BTS program—training equipment, salary, insurance, etc. For example—industry is now using safety PLC’s—how do we input this into the curriculum? Changing from Day to Night classes is not always so easily done.

Future State For Bosch Shortened BTS class schedule—as the quality of students increases then training time could decrease
