Math
We will continue working on Chapter 3: Addition to ten this week. Students will earn different strategies to add to ten. We are looking at having a test on Friday if all goes well.
Reading
This week students will be focusing on Cause and Effect. Students will also be focusing on /u/ and final blends. The Reading Street story this week is “Animal Park”. During Daily 5 students will begin learning about the listen to reading station. Students will also begin rotations.

Writing
This week students will wrap up their first unit working on writing narratives. The focus this week is to review and reinforce skills. Students will practice when to use a period, exclamation mark, and question mark as well as spelling phonetically and using upper and lower case letters. Please work on these with your child when writing at home. Their graded writing piece will be completed at the end of this week.
