BELMONT RAPID INFUSER
2
Operational Facts For RBC infusion with BRI : require catheter > 20G FLOW RATE is displayed in mL/min : a set volume of 500ml will be delivered in 1 min DO NOT add Platelets or Cryoprecipitate to the BRI

Fluid Path (with tubing loaded)
Setup Fluid Path (with tubing loaded) Temperature Probe Heat Exchange Rings Roller-head Pump Pressure Chamber / Air Trap Pump Tubing (infusion line) Valve Wand (shown with patient line closed) Recirculation tubing
4
BRI Components BRI accessories : 3 liter reservoir 3 spike reservoir
Dual patient line Attach BRI tubing directly to IV hub. Do NOT add non- BRI tubing or Filters to the set up. BRI – NO HEATING function during battery operation or flows set < 10ml/min
5
Display Panel BRI control panel display : Flow Rate
Total Volume Infused Fluid Temperature In – Line pressure
6
BRI Priming BRI will self prime the MAIN CIRCUIT but NOT the Patient LINE Trouble-Shoot: If BRI Does NOT Prime 1. Obstructed Tubing? 2. Do you have Fluid? 3. Are all Clamps Open?
7
BRI Pressure alarm In line pressure > 400 mmHg – Infusion stops
Trouble shoot: High pressure alarm activated 1. Is patient line blocked? 2. Is recirculate line blocked? 3. Is flow setting appropriate for catheter size?
8
Call for service if message persists
BRI Heating Trouble shoot HEATING fault & over Temperature 1. Are temperature probes clean and dry? 2. Are disposable set windows clean and dry? 3. Are air vents at bottom of BRI blocked? Call for service if message persists
