U.S. sent supplies to Britain.
We lost approximately 100 ships.

3. Why US Wanted To Stay Out
It kept America separate from the war and it was a strong ideology. america was never an official ally in WWI.
We didn't want to lose soldiers.
Following the Monroe Doctrine of neutrality.
Crime against civilization for the U.S. to go in.
We needed to stay out of Europe's land if they stayed out of ours.

U.S. policy regarding domination of the American continent in It stated that further efforts by European nations to colonize land or interfere with states in North and South America would be viewed as acts of aggression. U.S. couldn’t take Europe's land vice versa.

May 1st. the ship departed from New York City. May 7th The ship was near the coast of Ireland when a torpedo fired by the German submarine “U20” slammed into her side. Sinking of it killed 114 americans and 1,924 total. It sank within 18 minutes.
u.s blamed Germany for the sinking. because the ship was carrying ammunition. however this research wasn’t configured until years later.
