1 Welcome – we are so happy to see such a great turn out at this event.
Before I provide my update, let me tell you that this seminar is a result of some real TEAM effort - Want to acknowledge some key folks who helped plan this event. Vick Copper, Tom Gross and Cathy Colglazier and several of the BAR staff. My colleague David Carter has been a key team member acting as program coordinator for the Seminar. So thank to all these folks! As Tom told you, I am Nancy Larson of K-State’s Pollution Prevention Institute, our group operates the Small Business Environmental Assistance Program or “S-BEAP”. SBEAP is funded by KDHE, and specifically events like this one today is funded by BAR. OK – a chance to stretch your legs, how many people her e have heard of SBEAP – maybe called our hotline or attended one of the SBEAP workshops?

Updated agenda Evaluations Three tracks – Grand and Mansion rooms Awards luncheon – Regency East Vendors and 5pm reception in Atrium Please take a minute to pull out the update agenda in your packet. There have been some changes since publishing the brochure mailing and you’ll see those updates reflected in the new agenda. Sessions are held in one of three rooms, this being the main Grand ballroom and then the smaller Mansion rooms are just out this door and to the left. You have already visited the Atrium area where the vendors are set up and our evening reception will be held. Our lunches will be held just beyond the atrium in the Regency rooms. Today we feature Air Quality Awards and tomorrow John Madden will be here to make us laugh as we learn to “Stress down with humor.” I want to thank the Ramada hotel for working with us to make this a green conference. You’ll notice our efforts to minimize disposals, we asked the the temperature of our conf space be adjusted to conserve energy. The Ramada has provided paper, plastic and can recycling collection for us as well as encourages energy and water conservation practices in the sleep rooms. You may also notice we are not providing handouts of the presentation slides, but all the presentations will be available at and BAR’s site in 1-2 weeks.
