Please remember this week is a short week! We have Thursday and Friday off school. Enjoy your fall break! Since it is a short week we will not have spelling homework or a spelling test on Wednesday. Watch the planner for more information on homework.
I have waited to order books from Scholastic Book Clubs until tonight in case anyone is interested. If you are interested in placing an order please go to scholastic.com/readingclub and enter our online classroom code H2HJ9. We appreciate any orders as it helps us earn points and purchase books for our classroom.
In order to volunteer at school or for field trips this year you must have completed the chaperone training. The following dates are when trainings are available this fall. Please plan to attend one if you have not already. Travel out of the country may require a special meeting. Please contact the front office for more information.

-Thursday, November 13, 6:30pm, WES Cafeteria
If you are interested in volunteering please also make sure you have completed paperwork to have a background check so that it is on file with the district and school.
Last week we sent home paperwork that you need to return if you are interested in ordering pictures. Please return that before Wednesday!

Service Learning Project
As a first grade team here at school we have begun our annual service learning project. We are collecting pull tabs from any and all drinks that you drink at home. As you saw in the letter we sent home this helps fund a lot of things at the Ronald McDonald House. Thank you for your support!
