Many of the ethnic groups in Hawaii today can be traced back to the plantations. This activity is designed to introduce you to the different groups of immigrant laborers and the impact they had on Hawaii. In each compartment of this plate, write contributions from each ethnic group that we see in today’s Hawaii. Contributions can include important people, food, music, companies, etc. Each compartment must include at least one illustration.
