An adjective clause is introduced by a relative pronoun.
Common Relative Pronouns
that, which, who, whom, whose

3. Examples: The magazine, which arrived in the mail today, is torn.
**That can be used to refer both to people and to things.
**Which is used to refer to things only.

4. Essential and Non-essential Clauses
Non-essential: gives extra information about the noun, but they are not essential:
Ex: The desk in the corner, which is covered
in books, is mine.
Essential: important information about the noun
Ex: The package that arrived this morning is
on the desk.

A new book that I ordered is here.
My cousin, who lives in Georgia, likes to draw.
The author, whose book we studied in social studies, will speak tomorrow at the assembly.
Pizza, which most people love, is not very healthy.
