1 Bhagavad-Gita As It Is Text 41 I. One pointed attention.
II. Taking the instructions of Scriptures and Guru as one’s heart and soul. III. Meditate on result of material acts and Spiritual acts.

2 Text 41 vyavasäyätmikä buddhir ekeha kuru-nandana
bahu-çäkhä hy anantäç ca buddhayo ’vyavasäyinäm “Those who are on this path are resolute in purpose, and their aim is one. O beloved child of the Kurus, the intelligence of those who are irresolute is many-branched.”

3 One pointed intelligence
What does this mean? E.g. Arjun having one pointed attention while shooting arrows. Applying intelligence in process of becoming Krsna Conscious. Highest perfection – renunciation of bodily conception of life. ’çraddhä’-çabde——viçväsa kahe sudåòha niçcaya kåñëe bhakti kaile sarva-karma kåta haya “A strong faith that by Kåñëa consciousness one will be elevated to the highest perfection of life is called vyavasäyätmikä intelligence.”

4 Results – Material vs Spiritual
Meditate on results of material activities and compare with spiritual activities. Unless convinced of one’s identity as soul, there is no question of spiritual intelligence. One who is not convinced is diverted by allurements in scriptures.

5 Instructions of Guru and Scriptures
Service in Krsna Consciousness - Best practiced under the guidance of Guru. Scriptures full of apperant contradictions

6 Perfection by satisfying Guru
yasya prasädäd bhagavat-prasädo yasyäprasädän na gatiù kuto ’pi dhyäyan stuvaàs tasya yaças tri-sandhyaà vande guroù çré-caraëäravindam “By satisfaction of the spiritual master, the Supreme Personality of Godhead becomes satisfied. And by not satisfying the spiritual master, there is no chance of being promoted to the plane of Kåñëa consciousness. I should, therefore, meditate and pray for his mercy three times a day, and offer my respectful obeisances unto him, my spiritual master.”
