Textbook AP Psych is a definition driven test
In order to be used on the test, the term must appear in four texts on the approved list Classroom text: Meyer’s 9th edition Notes: from multiple psychology textbooks including Myers, Hockenbury, & Berstein texts Learning psychology requires that you learn many new terms, both psych and AP psych will have vocabulary to complete for each unit.

Why use a test prep book? Summarize key points in concise readable manner Classroom tests will contain questions from Barron’s book We are passing this test… you are making a decision to pay to take this test… you are doing everything you can to insure that you get college credit.

All questions are taken from released tests or test prep books One essay All essays are taken from previous tests Rubrics from College Board are used for grading Define and apply

Class Notes Use the PowerPoint slides as a base
Point of notes is to add additional information and highlight key points Notes are required. If needed, notes will be graded

Vocabulary The test is definition driven
Every activity is designed to focus on the definition When you write your flash cards you will summarize the definition using 5-6 words. No two 5 words definitions will be the same Check out Quizlet – it’s a great way to practice vocabulary. Go to quizlet.com Choose psychology There are games to practice the vocabulary.

Handouts in Packet At the beginning of each unit I will have the percentage that those questions appear on the test 100 question test; History/Intro is 2-4% that means that there will be 2-4 questions on that topic on the test. Order of Study We will have roughly 2 weeks per unit Our aim is to have 5-9 days of review
