The Warren Court Many decisions had the effect of creating social change Liberal rulings Brown v Board of Education-ended segregation in schools Miranda v Arizona- police have to read you your rights Harper v Virginia State Board of Elections- poll taxes unconstitutional in state elections (24th amendment banned poll taxes in federal elections) Robinson v Florida-reversed the sentences of blacks and whites who had been refused service at Florida restaurants and arrested for not leaving Loving v Virginia- banned laws barring whites and non-whites from marrying Engle v Vitole- Prayers and Bible readings in public schools violated 1st Amendment Right to Privacy- Griswold v Connecticut (Overturned state law banning contraceptives) Roe v Wade (Right to an abortion)
