To share family history and stories for younger generations
Last time we got together, I gave some reasons why blogging has become so big. The top three were:
Preference for individual versus mass media. People like to talk and hear form people, not some monolithic corporation
Person desires to share experiences, opinion, expertise in enough depth to help others – it used to be write a book, not it is start a blog
It has become so easy to do.

There are three main components to starting your blog.
1rst is what you call it - your brand. That is your domain name. Most people have a name tucked away that you entended to call your book or your company if you every started it. Add a com to that and see if it is available. I’ll show you how to do that in a few minutes. Figure $15-$25 a year but I’ll show you a way to get that for free.
Your going to need to rent some place to put your business. Like a brick and motar place in the galleria, you don’t buy the entire complex, just rent the space you need. That’s your web hosting and it will cost from free (buyer beware) to $8.95 a month depending on how long you rent for
Now you need to put something on the bare walls, put in cash registers, have pretty displays, power, lights, make it your own. It’s the website development platform – Like I said before, Wordpress is the one I use and it has made it cookbook simple.
