1 Louise Taylor Director Specialist Services, LCC
Working Together With Families: Making that difference across Lancashire Louise Taylor Director Specialist Services, LCC

2 Working Together With Families - context
Journey so far: Background - Family Intervention Projects, vulnerable adolescents, family group conferencing, etc - all suggesting we needed to work differently with families; Evidence of multiple professionals working with families, multiple (duplicate) projects and insecure/tenuous funding – not aways demonstrating long term impact; Financial pressures and increasing repeat demands for services; Strong partnership heritage in Lancashire – leading to CYP Trust commitment to Transforming Service Delivery.

3 Working Together With Families - ambition
Emphasis on culture and system change – not more initiatives, focus on doing 'with' not 'to' families; Link to wider system changes – MASH, early support hubs, review of CAF and Continuum of Need, etc; Focus on evidence-based practice with an eye to commissioning new services and de-commissioning ones that are not demonstrating impact or value for money.

4 Working Together With Families
Objectives for the day: Provide an overview of the WTWF programme and how the Troubled Families Unit proposals fit in; Offer up feedback  from the initial sites; Outline practical help and advice on issues such as governance arrangements, information sharing, identifying families, the role of the lead professional, tracking progress and links with existing statutory arrangements.
