Experimentation Capabilities:
To demonstrate the appearance and sound of cavitation
To demonstrate the conditions for cavitation to occur
To show, how cavitation can be prevented by raising its static pressure

Procedure:
Open the valve V1 and close the inlet valve
Close the FCV and switch on HB and slowly open the FCV
Now slowly open the inlet valve and allow water to flow from cavitation apparatus
If thermometer is available measure and record the temperature of water
Observe the visible cavitation occurs in expansion of test section
Continue to open inlet valve until to obtain maximum flow and note the milky formation at throat
Close the inlet valve until there is no cavitation in test section
Record the following parameters P1 bar, P2 bar and P3 bar)
Determine the flowrate by timing the collection of a known volume of water
