2 OFE Copper cylinders drilled ready for Mandrel fabrication.
RC-1 Status OFE Copper cylinders drilled ready for Mandrel fabrication. Glidcop Al-15 LOX for 1st center Hub ready for SLAC 1st Shaft Assembly planned for brazing in early January. 4 more Half Shafts due by 12/12/08 more due. 3 Cylindrical Tank is proposed.
New Tank Concept Cylindrical Tank is proposed. Modular assemblies weld to 355.6mm O.D. x 6.35mm wall SST Pipe Conflat flanged adapters seal Tank end openings and connect Tank to Beampipe. LARP LHC PHASE II COLL RC1 - S. Lundgren 23 Oct No 3 /6

4 Jaw Transition Resistance Test
4 wire resistance test planned Purpose of test is to find acceptable resistance. Stainless Steel Ball bearings will be tested with gold and Rhodium plating Groove plating is optional at this point Load can be increased by using oversized bearings or extra thick plating Simulated JAW Bearing Race LARP LHC PHASE II COLL RC1 - S.
