2 WARM UP LIST AS MANY CAUSES AND EFFECTS OF THE CIVIL WAR THAT YOU CAN.

3 Activity Divide your paper into two halves. Label one half England and one half France. In your small groups, you will research the roles England and France may have played during the Civil War. What impact did England and France have on the north? What impact did they have on the south? Your findings will be recorded on the smartboard as a class.

5 ACTIVITY divide the class into groups of 5.
Assign each group one of the 5 major causes of the civil war. Allow each group time to research their particular cause in order to provide supporting details. Allow each group to present to the class their findings in regard to providing supporting detail for their particular cause. Have students record their findings on the smartboard for the rest of the class.
