GM Elementary Spring Concert is on Friday, April 20 at 1:30 in the Legacy gym. Everyone is invited. Second graders brought home song sheets to practice at home…Land of the Silver Birch and Burung Kakaktua. Students should wear nice and clean clothes. 16 18

2nd Grade Information
GM ELEMENTARY SPRING CONCERT is on Friday, April 20 at 1:30 in the Legacy gym. Everyone is invited. Students should wear nice and clean clothes. Students may go home with their parents after the concert. Parents will have to pick their child up in the classroom…students will need to get their backpacks, etc. If your child is to go home with someone else, parents need to write a note in the child’s notebook giving permission.
GMHS THEATRE presents Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat this weekend. April 13 at 7:00 pm, April 14 at 2:00 pm, and April 15 at 2:00 pm. Admission is $10 for adults.
BAIT THE HOOK NIGHT: Come to the elementary dome from 6:00-7:00 on Monday, April 23 for reading activities. Learn how to tie a fishing lure, play bingo for books, dance to Just Dance music, take pictures, enjoy a snack and more. Everyone is invited.
SPRING PICTURES are on Thursday, April 26. See picture flyer that was sent home.
BOOK ORDER: A book order went home Friday. They are due Wednesday.
DENTAL HEALTH: Mrs. Hanken’s daughter, Hailey, is about to graduate from Dental Hygiene school. Her final project involves school age children and their brushing habits.
She and another classmate will be coming into to our classrooms on April 23 to give a dental presentation and again on the 27th to hand out prizes.
ACTIVITIES DAY for grades K-2 is on Tuesday, May 15 on the school track. We have races, fly kites, parachute, and tug of war. People are welcome to come at watch. In case of rain, the rain date is on Thursday, May 17. Grades 3-5 Activities day is on May 22, with a rain date on May 24.
MN ZOO: The second grade will take their annual class trip to the MN Zoo on Wednesday, May 16. Parents are welcome to come, but will have to drive or share a ride with another parent(s) on their own. We will leave approximately 8:20 and return around 4:30. The cost will be $6 per child and $12 per adult. We are just letting people know so that some may adjust time off of work, or schedule the cost in their budget. More information will come at the end of April or the beginning of May.
