2. Introduction
At the very least, your introduction should be three sentences: 
1. Start with a general statement about the topic 
2. Write a second sentence that starts to become more specific and moves towards the idea that will be the focus of your essay.
3. Write your thesis statement.

Since the focus for your research essay was an inquiry question, make sure your inquiry question is written in the form of a debatable statement that clearly tells readers the focus of your research.
For example: In George Orwell's 1984, fear is a powerful, motivating force that allows a totalitarian government to remain in power. 

4. Body Write a clear topic sentence for each body paragraph.
Each topic sentence should provide the reader with a "map" for what will be discussed in that paragraph.
For example: Constant surveillance creates a threatening environment. 
Then, provide details from your research that explains how constant surveillance creates fear. This may include different types of surveillance (telescreens, the Thought Police, etc.).

5. Body
Construct the body of your essay logically moving from one point and building on it. 
Perhaps your next point may have to do with propaganda and how this also creates the feeling of being watched... 

6. Body Two ways to discuss the information you've found: Point by Point
Block format

7. Point by Point Format 
Discuss both 1984 and the connection you found together in the same paragraph by discussing each category one at a time
Category 1: 1984 and N. Korea
Category 2: 1984 and N. Korea
Category 3: 1984 and N. Korea

8. Block format
Discuss the research in relation to 1984 for all categories in one paragraph.
Then, in the next paragraph, discuss N. Korea
However, make sure to refer back to 1984 to ensure there’s a clear synthesis of ideas (blending ideas together in a meaningful way.)
