Optic Nerve- Carries electric signals to the seeing center of the brain. Blood Vessels- deliver nutrients & oxygen in the blood to eye cells & carry away wastes Retina- made up of rod cells & cone cells to help us see color & black & white

Lens- focuses light from near & distant objects on the retina so we see all things in focus Pupil- gets bigger or smaller to allow more or less light to enter the eye Iris- the colored part of the eye that changes the size of the pupil Cornea-the outermost layer of the eye

5. All About Tears
Above the outside corner of your eyes, there are tiny tubes called ducts that carry tears from your tear glands. Every time we blink, our eyelids spread tears across our eyes. These tears wash away dirt, kill germs, and keep the cornea moist. When you feel an emotion, these ducts overreact and produce more tears than usual which is what we call crying.

6. Correcting Vision
If you are nearsighted, it means your eyeball is too long.
It also means you can see close objects clearly, but distant objects look blurry.
A concave lens corrects this type of vision problem.
A concave lens is thinner in the center and thicker at the edges.
It bends light outward.
