Aloha, I hope the software evaluation form helps you in selecting appropriate content-area software for your instruction. Thinking critically about the software you select for instruction and or purchase helps to ensure a lasting impact in learning. One fast way to determine if a software game is for entertainment or learning is to take a minute to observer the flow of interaction, is the learner providing all the input to the software? What feedback is the student getting from the software? If you observe that the student is giving more than receiving then that may indicate that minimal learning will take place.
