Bathroom time… You may use two per 9 weeks; if you lose them or use them, they are gone! Keep them and get 5 bonus points per bathroom pass. Get out your planner!

After an absence… Look in the file for your period. I will have a missing work task person, too! Pull out any paperwork that has your name on it. For each day you missed you have that many days to make up your work (not to exceed 5 days)

How will I be graded? A B C D 64 and below F Each day you turn in a late assignment, there will be 15 points deducted from your grade.

How will I be graded? Also, Desoto County records grades in Power School which will enable your parents to see your attendance (tardiness, absences), grades, conduct, and more the minute I enter it in the computer from any computer they are logged onto. This is wonderful, and your parents will be thrilled!

Interest Inventory Get out your interest inventory.
What are your expectations for behavior while you work on an assignment in class?? Let’s brainstorm. I will give you the opportunity to tell me what you think creates an environment where it is easiest to read/write/and learn. Write it down on a sticky note. I need one person from each group to come paste them on the anchor chart.

Now that we have established some rules and guidelines, let’s continue.
Paper passer outers, I NEED YOU! You will now create a narrative writing in the shape of a fingerprint. This narrative describes you and only you, so it will be a “one of a kind” fingerprint that I will display. Feel free to create sketches or drawings throughout or around the writing.

Bring in photos, magazines, etc. of things you can paste onto the front of the composition book to make it your own. We will complete these tomorrow. **Don’t forget the signed forms and forms to be filled out by parent/guardian. Passer outers, I NEED YOU!! Help pass out the manila folders. I need you to write your FIRST AND LAST names on the tab. You will only place your Interest Inventory in them.
