1. Differentiation
The purpose of this session is to give you some ideas for differentiation and I will give you some ideas that I have found effective within my classroom.

2. Secret Mission Cards
I use these to help students with either completing their work or giving them a focus for the lesson

3. Personal Targets
These are differentiated per student to ensure that they make progress within the lesson. This also helps them to reflect on the lesson too.

4. Challenge Cards
When students have finished a task they can complete a challenge card so that this will stretch them a little further. This could be on the concepts or from a previous lesson.

5. Challenge tokens
I distribute these to students and I give some students more than others to those that I want to stretch and challenge more and others push themselves further by completing more

6. I use one stop shop but distribute money to each student which is equal to a question. Some students get more than others and I use this to help consolidate their learning

7. I use question cards to help students challenge themselves further – each student is given different questions

8. Differentiated Plenaries
I use these to ensure the students reflect on the lesson. These are in the basket and students can pick which one they want to complete. However the coloured ones are the harder ones and students can stretch themselves by completing this.
