2. CIEM Introduction + A national research institute.
+ Established in 1978 and had been operated as a policy adviser for the Cabinet and Central Committee of Vietnam’s Communist Party

3. Current functions
+ A national institute under the direct authority of the Ministry of Planning and Investment
+ To undertake research and put forward proposals and recommendations on economic reforms and regulations, policies; planning and management mechanisms, business environment and economic renovation;
+ To provide training and re-training to economic management staff and provides consultancy services in accordance with the laws andregulations.

4. + CIEM consists 10 unit, including VERM, Library and Administration Office
+ CIEM has 95 staff members, including 2 associate professors, 15 holders of Ph.D. degree, 32 olders of  Master's degree and 36 holders of  Bachelor's degree

5. Vietnam Economic Management Review
+ A department of CIEM
+ Conducting both research and editorial/publication activities
+ Having 6 staff memebers

6. VEMR goals It aims to publish articles that serve the following goals:
+ To provide rigorous analyses of emerging issues in Vietnam’s economy regarding micro and macroeconomic management, factor market development, the process of economic institution reform and integration, and sustainable economic development;
+ To update and analyze the country’s economic performance; and
+ To introduce newly released publications in both Vietnamese and English.

7. VERM difficulties/weaknesses
+ Lack of expertise and professionalism in editorial/publication works, particularly in English version
+ Inadequate incentives/facilations
+ Staff instability

8. What has been done + released 14 issues in Vietnamese (bimonthly)
+ issued first number in English and the second issue is ongoing publication
+ Electronic version of both issues is posted in the CIEM and VNEP websites

9. VERM shortcomings + Mistakes/emmissions still exist
+ Delaid publication
+ Poor results of VERM commercialization
+ Lack of eager support from the contributors and readers

How to organize entire editing procedures (from collecting of the articles to printing the journal);
How to publish your e-journal via internet and your own websites or networks/links?;

What are and How to attract the constant sources of articles for your journal (Who are contributors to your journal)? And who are readers and customers of your journals?
