Develop opportunities within the curriculum for students to use their skills in practical contexts.
 Support opportunities outside the curriculum to gain work experience and to participate in volunteering initiatives.
 Encourage students to take up opportunities to develop specific employment skills.

3. Click Select Picture, find the folder that contains the picture you want (preferably one saved at 72dpi), click the file name, click Insert, and then click OK.
4. To apply the change to the current slide, click Apply.

The system we moved to in 1994 is perceived in many places as too rigid
Departments and faculties are looking at new ways of delivering activities

Many activities and initiatives detailed in the strategy for each of the four objectives
While strategy not yet approved, some examples already possible that confirm direction of travel…
Single out two significant L&T areas here, first is support for I students
Pre-arrival, induction and orientation programmes and on-going support for international students. Eg SSD theme on pre-arrival L&T support
Social and extra-curricular activities for international students eg RH sustaining support for SU society internationalisation activities
English Language programmes to meet the needs of all international students and staff. Eg The potential development by the ELTC for provision of unrestricted modules in higher level English for international students.

This may sound like it is all sorted and agreed in terms of what activities are needed to achieve our internationalisation activities. It is not! Strategy as a framework that Faculties and departments can use to shape own plans and activities in areas important to them
