It’s great to be here at the Stata Center. Our own building is boringly rectilinear. You put a desk in the corner, there are no spaces. You put a bookshelf against the wall, there are no spaces. The Stata center, though, exudes creativity.
One of the real tests of great architecture is whether it inspires others. And the Stata Center has clearly done that.

I’d like to offer this up as a new logo for CSAIL – a little less abstract than the current logo, more accurately conveys the nature of the facility.
