1 The Nucleus

2 What Is A Nucleus? Nucleus
The nucleus is the control center of a cell. It contains the cell's hereditary information (DNA) and controls the cell's growth and reproduction.

3 The Nucleus Function The nucleus of a cell is like the brain or the control center of the cell. It organizes and delegates all the jobs that need to be carried out within the cell. It also houses all the genetic information of an organism in the form of DNA

4 Why is the Nucleus important?
The Nucleus is important because the nucleus controls all actions of the cell without the nucleus , the cell would die because it doesn’t know how to survive. The nucleus is also important because it contains DNA and RNA and it can sometimes be the center of the cell.

5 What does the nucleus do ?
The nucleus is the brain of the cell. The nucleus controls the all of the cell without the nucleus the cell could not survive. Also the nucleus sends information to the cell.

6 The Nuclear Envelope The nucleus is enveloped by a pair of membranes enclosing a lumen that is continuous with that of the endoplasmic reticulum. The inner membrane is stabilized by a meshwork of intermediate filament proteins called lamins . The nuclear envelope is perforated by thousands of nuclear pore complexes (NPC) that control the passage of molecules in and out of the nucleus.
