2. Epilepsy12 Data platform user profile types
Three types of Health Board/Trust and EEG Service users will be able to access the Epilepsy12 round 3 data platform and each user type will have distinct associated user permissions:
Designated Leads
Editors
Readers

3. Health Board/Trust Designated lead
The Epilepsy12 project team has already approved the access and permissions for the Designated Leads for each of the Health Board/Trust (HB/T) on the system following the round 3 registration process
Epilepsy12 project team administrators will always be able to view and edit the permissions of users from all HB/T on the system
However, the Designated Lead for each particular HB/T will be able to add users for their HB/T to the system and set the permission levels for them. They will therefore have to accept the responsibility for the actions of the users that they add to the system.
HB/T editor and reader user types will not be able to edit their own level of access.
*A Designated Lead can give another user additional Designated Lead status within their own HB/T

4. Health Board/Trust Designated Lead permissions
Each Health Board/Trust Designated Lead will have permission to:
Add Epilepsy12 platform users for their HB/T & set their user type and associated permissions*
Access and edit all individual patient, Trust Profile and organisational audit data
Lock and submit all patient and organisational audit data
(*Designated Leads cannot delete users from the system – requests to delete users must be made to the Epilepsy12 project team at: or on )

5. Health Board/Trust Designated Lead permissions cont.
Each Health Board/Trust Designated Lead will have permission to:
Download data exports
Access all live report outputs
Transfer a patient to another Health Board/Trust

6. Health Board/Trust Editor permissions
HB/T Editor users types will have permission to:
access and edit all unlocked patient data
view, but not edit, Trust Profile and organisational audit data
download data exports
access all live report outputs

7. Health Board/Trust Reader permissions
Health Board/Trust Readers have permission to:
view but not edit all patient, Trust Profile and organisational audit data
access all live report outputs

8. EEG Service Designated Lead permissions
EEG Service Designated Leads will have permission to:
Add Epilepsy12 data platform users for their EEG Service & set their user type and associated permissions
Enter initial patient registration form data for patients referred from a paediatric service for a first EEG
Access reports on EEG Service registration activity

9. EEG Service Editor permissions
EEG Service Editors will have permission to:
Enter initial patient registration form data for patients referred from a paediatric service for a first EEG
Access reports on EEG Service registration activity

10. EEG Service Reader permissions
EEG Service Readers will have permission to:
view registration data that has been entered for patients referred from a paediatric service for a first EEG
access reports on EEG Service registration activity
