Monday September 19th.
2
Answer Solid Naturally Occurring Crystal Structure Inorganic Definite Chemical Composition
3
Homework! Keep bringing in your field trip permission forms!
Bring in your T-shirt order forms and money! Quiz on Friday over Weathering, and Erosion!
4
Erosion The process by which water, ice, wind or gravity moves fragments of rock and soil.
5
Deposition! The process by which sediments are dropped out of the medium that is moving them.
6
There are 4 Main Types of Erosion
Water Ice Wind Gravity
7
Water Erosion Rivers, streams, and runoff
Water picks up the sediment and carries it other places.
8
Ice Erosion Glaciers Sediment gets picked up by glaciers and as the glacier moves and melts the sediment drops out.
9
Wind Erosion Wind picks up the loose sediment and drops it in new places.
10
Gravity or Mass Movements.
Gravity pulls loose sediments from higher places to lower places. Examples are: Landslides, mudslides, slump and creep. landslide clip.mpeg

Weathering and Erosion Shape the Earth!
Weathering and Erosion break down tall points and fills in low points. When we break something down it is called destruction. When we build something up it’s called construction. Ex. Sand Bar

Weathering and Erosion Poster!
You will be assigned a group of four, a role, and a type of weathering and erosion. You will complete the poster guide first. You will then create a poster. This will be a project grade. It will be due at the end of class Wednesday.
