Tea Act The Tea Act, passed by Parliament on May 10, 1773.
Granted the British East India Company Tea a monopoly on tea sales in the American colonies. Lead to the Boston Tea Party

Boston Tea Party Colonists threw tea into Boston Harbor to protest tax on Non-British Tea British King George III shut down Mass Gov’t and put British Soldiers in control British East India Co held a Monopoly on British tea imports. Many members of Parliament held shares. Permitted the British East India Co to sell tea directly to Colonists without Colonists middlemen (cheaper tea!) North expected the Colonists to eagerly choose the cheaper tea.

Intolerable Act’s Boston Port Act: The Boston Port Act was the first Intolerable Act passed. It was direct punishment to the city of Boston for the Boston Tea Party. Massachusetts Government Act: This act changed the government of the colony of Massachusetts. It gave more power to the governor (who was appointed by Great Britain) and took away power from the colonists. Quartering Act The Quartering Act of 1774: expanded upon the original Quartering Act of It said that the colonies had to provide barracks for British soldiers.. Quebec Act The Quebec Act: expanded the British Canadian territory south into the Ohio Valley. It also made the Quebec Province a Catholic province.
