8 THE USAGE OF 'HAVE GOT / HAS GOT'

9 1.We use ‘have got / has got’ when we are talking about our family members.
Examples: Brat’s got two sisters. Homer has got two daughters and a son. I’ve got two uncles.

10 2.We use ‘have got / has got’ when we are talking about physical appearence.
Examples: Marge has got blue hair and brown eyes. Alice has got blonde hair and blue eyes. Sibel has got brown hair and green eyes.

11 3.We use ‘have got / has got’ when we are talking about our possessions.
Examples: Brat and his family have got a dog and a cat I’ve got a blue car. Jane has got a big bag. You’ve got a notebook in your bag.

We use ‘have got’ after these subjects and pronouns: ‘I, you, we, they, ali and Ayşe, etc.’ We use ‘has got’ after these subjects and pronouns: ‘He, she, it, Ali, Ayşe, etc.’
