Misalignment between degrees and job skills is resulting in half of university graduates being underemployed in grey collar jobs that do not pay enough for them to live and pay back their student loans

That word “skilled” is very important. If a student earns a BA degree in Philosophy, what skills do they have? They now have an education, but what do they know how to do?

Salaries can be deceiving for university graduates
For every occupation that requires a masters or doctorate, there is one job. For Bachelor degrees there are two jobs and for CTE, there are 7 jobs.
Even if more students graduate from college, this number will not change. Therefore more and more bachelor graduates will have to settle for those grey collar jobs.
