12 Dual Core Mediation Device (DCMD)
Splitter – Combines the two cores using the same polarization OMT – Combines the two cores on alternate polarizations (H,V) The Dual Core Mediation Devices (DCMD) are designed to offer a simple and compact solution for a direct mount installation of the MultiCore NetStream Diplo on a standard Old ODU antenna. NetStream Diplo is equipped with two antenna ports, which mandates the use of unique mediation devices to facilitate direct mount configurations. The following two examples show dual core mediation devices that enable the connection of a single NetStream Diplo unit to an antenna. For the full set of mediation devices, refer to the NetStream Diplo Installation Guide.
