2. Goal
The goal of the presentation is to demonstrate principles and advantages of regularized decision tree forests (DTF) for information synthesis and process modelling , control and systems analysis.
Model goal function of the regularized DTF:
Process: WWT, 38 variables, 2 years continuous monitoring data

3. Advantages
Significantly improved, over OLS, predictivity on untrained data (2 months of operation)

4. Systems analysis Conclusions
Global analysis in the ranges between 1-3rd quintile
1) Variable importance
2) Process variables interactions (synergism)
Conclusions
1) DTF enables integration of heterogeneous process data
2) Regularization yields model transparency and inference of system information
3) Improved process control is enabled
