What caused the hole in the ozone layer?
Ozone is a molecule of 3 oxygen atoms CFC’s chloro-flouro-carbons: human made gases in air conditions spray cans and other things They were banned in 2000. The ozone layer hole is gradually closing as a result of the ban. What caused the hole in the ozone layer?

How does the atmosphere keep earth warm?
The gases in the atmosphere let the suns heat in and allow only some of it back out. Like in a car in FL in summer with the windows rolled down What happens if you roll up the windows with no AC? How does the atmosphere keep earth warm?

What are the effects of rising temperatures? (global warming)
Global warming is the gradual increase in the temp of the earths atmos. Increasing levels of greenhouse gases are causing global temps to rise more quickly. Droughts and desertification: water and food shortages in areas that get very warm and dry Changes to biosphere: as climates warm organisims will get pushed to new locations. They may not adapt or have strong competition Rising sea levels: warm water expands causing sea levels to rise Melting glaciers which also contributes to sea levels rising What are the effects of rising temperatures? (global warming)

How can we limit Global Warming?
Clean energy sources: those that release small amounts of greenhouse gases, or none such as solar energy and wind energy Energy efficiency: if it is more efficient we need less of it Carbon Capture: technology to remove carbon from exhaust and then bury it. It is expensive but releases fewer greenhouse gases. How can we limit Global Warming?
