3. 6 Weeks NOT 9
Elementary and Intermediate are now on 6 weeks grading periods.
Progress Reports after the 3rd week.
Progress Reports only for those students with a 75 or below.
Weekly progress will be
sent home in
Wednesday folders.

4. Parent Conferences
1st report card conferences will be held Sept. 28-Oct Sign up sheets are outside the door.
Conferences will be about 20 minutes long.
We will be sending out reminders closer to the conference time.

5. Class T-shirts
Order forms due by September 1 (Thursday). Shirts usually come in around 10 days later.
Wear t-shirts on Wednesdays and on class field trips.
T-shirts will cost $12 each.
If checks are made out, please use black or blue ink. Central office can’t accept checks in other colors.

6. Daily Schedule Building and cafeteria open at 7:30
Class starts at 7:57.
Students are tardy if not in classroom by 8:05.
Recess: 9:52 – 10:10
Lunch: 12:00-12:30
PE/Computers: 12:35-1:35
Dismissal: 3:36

7. Parent Information Meeting
Tuesday, September 13, 5:30-6:30
More information about curriculum and testing expectations.
More information on ways to help your third grader succeed this school year.
Learn about your child’s strengths.

8. Attendance Expectations
Labor Day is a school HOLIDAY day this year.
90% Attendance is required for promotion.
Don’t forget to send a note after your child’s absence. We will turn them in to the office.
We are happy to send makeup work to the office!
There is at least one weekday a month where students are not in school.

9. Behavior - Rule of 3
3 write-ups = lunch detention
3 lunch detentions and the next will be an after school detention.

10. Drop offs, Pick ups, Bus, Walkers
Everyone will dismiss at the same time!
Drop offs & Pick ups will be in the back.
Gates will open at 7:30 and 3:15.
There will be tags for your car.***
Working out the kinks…Subject to change.
Buses will load on Edward St.
Front & Back walkers as usual.

11. Homecoming! September 23 Playing the Leakey Eagles.
Sign up sheet is outside the classroom.
We will be working on banners and decorations on Wednesdays from 3:45-4:45 on September 7,14 and 21.
Theme: Pluck the Eagles!
Completely parent led….

12. Remind App Sign up with 3rd grade access code.
Teachers are able to send reminder texts OR s.
Numbers go through secure server so individual phone numbers are not made public.
Handout was on your child’s desk in their homeroom.

13. Homework Assignment sheet comes home every night.
First week: Homework Without Tears. It will help get everyone set up for homework success!
