1. TEA LEAF
‘Tea Leaf’ is a revenge driven action packed crime film, about a group of smugglers that seek vengeance for the loss of their friend whilst continuing to make a living by trading a newly banned substance.

2. SYNOPSIS
Ray and his gang are making a living through smuggling a newly banned substance which is in high demand. They’re business is booming and everyone is in high spirits. However, one night after four of the five of the gang return to their den after a celebration, they discover the body of one of their most important members: Brains. They also discover the whole of their stash has been stolen, and so their plan for revenge begins. The group discover that a rival gang is responsible for the murder and theft, and so, driven by anger, they decided to attack back, twice as hard.

Our film includes a gang of five smugglers, so each one will need a certain purpose in the group, as well as a distinguished trait.
We wanted our protagonist (anti-hero) group to have conventional British Crime features, so we researched typical characteristics that are found in British Crime films.

He keeps the operations and jobs going and is the spokesman for the group. He has good leadership and the other members respect him

We are going to need to use and re-use lots of teabags as they are main prop of our film, due to the high demand for them.
We will have to create our fake newspapers with relevant headlines and photos
We can make fake money by printing out pictures of pound notes

10. LOCATIONS Kitchen and Bedroom
We will need a kitchen for the first scenes where the police raid occurs
The Den will be where the group get the teabags and money ready for their customers
Smuggler’s Den
The Harbour or beach will be where the Dealer gives the smugglers their supply of teabags ( We will film in both locations and see which fits our narrative the most)
Harbour/Beach
This is where chase scenes and teabag dealing will occur, it’s a well suited location for the underground drug business.
Alleyway
Some sort of Bar setting will be needed for when the group go out and celebrate

11. LIGHTING
We would like to try and give our film trailer a dystopian feel by desaturating the colours to reflect the mood of Britain.
However, when the gang are at the bar, we intend to give the colourisation a yellow hue, in order to portray a happy and upbeat atmosphere
