A solid has a definite shape that does not change easily. Examples: salt, wood, gold, plastic, steel, stone, ice, and chocolate.

Introduction to Liquids
Liquids flow or pour, must be kept in containers, take the shape of the container, and have a flat level surface. Examples of liquids are milk, soda, motor oil, paint, glue, and water.
