What is it? Replaces the CRCT
NEW—online testing for some (7th grade and one 4th grade class) Read aloud accommodation—online Paper/pencil for 3rd, one 4th grade, 5th, 6th, and 8th NEW—constructed response, extended constructed response, and extended writing response Measures how well students learned grade level content Consists of ELA (reading, writing, and English language arts), Math, Science, and Social Studies Testing begins April 21st and ends April 29th Scores back in the Fall of 2015

Georgia Milestones EOG Overview Test Construction
Structure and Order Paper/Pencil and online administration modes available for all content areas For paper/pencil administrations, there will be one test booklet and one 16 to 20 page answer document by grade containing all 4 EOG content areas ELA Section 3 will assess writing (in all grades) and must be scheduled for a day separate from and following ELA Sections 1 and 2 Administration Order: English Language Arts, Mathematics, Science, Social Studies

What can you do? Make sure your child eats a good protein filled breakfast each morning of testing Be sure they get plenty of rest Prep them for a different schedule for the testing days Arrive 5-10 minutes earlier to ensure a smooth morning (drop off begins at 7:10 a.m.) Make sure your child has his/her medication, glasses, and anything else they need when they come to school Reassure your child that they are ready for this!
